Video and Media Content

When you use our strike zone tracking application, we collect and process video content that you record or upload:

  • Video Recordings: We collect video recordings of baseball games, practices, or training sessions that you capture using our mobile application. This includes live video streams and recorded video files.
  • Video Metadata: We collect metadata associated with videos, including timestamps, device orientation, camera settings, and location data (if you grant location permissions).
  • Processed Video Data: We process video content to analyze pitch trajectories, strike zone calls, and generate analytics. This may include frame-by-frame analysis, object detection, and motion tracking data.
  • User-Uploaded Videos: If you upload videos through our support form or feedback features, we collect those video files along with any associated descriptions or metadata you provide.

Video content is processed both on your device and on our servers to provide strike zone tracking, pitch analysis, and related features. By using our Services, you consent to the collection, storage, and processing of video content as described in this policy.


2. How We Collect Information

We collect information in the following ways:

  • When you fill out forms (e.g., to join the beta waitlist, request league rulebook integration, or contact us)
  • When you use our Services (e.g., asking questions in the rulebook assistant, using strike zone tracking)

4. Sharing of Information and Third-Party Processors

We do not sell your personal data.

  • Apple (Apple Inc.): When you use our iOS application, Apple processes data through the App Store, TestFlight, and iOS services. Data is subject to Apple's privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/privacy/privacy-policy
  • Cloud Storage Providers: We may use cloud storage services (such as AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage, or similar) to store video content and user data. These providers process data according to their respective privacy policies.
  • Payment Processors: If you make purchases, payment information is processed by third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, Apple In-App Purchase). We do not store full payment card information.
  • Analytics Providers: We use analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics) to track website usage. These services may collect anonymized usage data.
  • Email Service Providers: We use email services to send communications. These providers process email addresses and communication content.
  • Video Processing Services: We may use specialized video processing services for transcoding, compression, or analysis. These services process video content temporarily during processing.

Data Processing by Third Parties

When we share data with third-party processors, they may process your data, including video content, in the following ways:

  • Storage and hosting of video files and user data
  • Processing and analysis of video content for strike zone tracking
  • Transmission and delivery of video content to your devices

Third-Party Processor Requirements

All third-party processors are required to:

  • Implement appropriate security measures
  • Comply with applicable privacy laws and regulations
  • Delete or return your data when the processing relationship ends (subject to legal retention requirements)

We may also disclose your information if required by law, to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users, or in connection with a business transfer (e.g., merger, acquisition, or sale of assets).


5. Data Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information, including:

  • Secure servers and cloud infrastructure with access controls
  • Regular security assessments and updates

However, no system can guarantee absolute security, and you use our Services at your own risk. We encourage you to use strong passwords and keep your account credentials secure.


6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information and video content for as long as necessary to provide our Services and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Retention Periods

  • Account Information: We retain account information (name, email, preferences) for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your account information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.
  • Video Content: Video recordings and processed video data are retained for as long as you maintain an active account and for up to 90 days after account deletion, unless you request earlier deletion. Video content may be retained longer if required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or legitimate business purposes (e.g., improving our AI models with anonymized data).
  • Analytics and Usage Data: We retain analytics and usage data for up to 2 years to analyze trends and improve our Services.
  • Support Communications: We retain support tickets, bug reports, and related communications for up to 3 years to provide ongoing support and improve our Services.
  • Legal and Compliance: We may retain certain information for longer periods if required by law, regulation, or to resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or protect our legal rights.

Deletion of Video Content

You can request deletion of your video content at any time by:

  • Deleting videos directly through the application interface
  • Contacting us at support@heyblu.ai to request deletion
  • Deleting your account, which will trigger deletion of associated video content (subject to the retention periods above)

Please note that deletion may take up to 30 days to complete, and some data may remain in backup systems for an additional period before being permanently deleted. We will make reasonable efforts to honor deletion requests promptly.


7. Your Rights

You may contact us at any time to:

  • Request access to your personal information
  • Correct or update your data
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt-out of marketing communications
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format
